Walk-in shower ideas 101
Walk-in showers are a great addition to any bathroom.
Not only do they make a standout design feature, they’re as practical as can be, look incredibly stylish and, can be as refreshing as taking a long hot soak in the bath.
But as with most design features, they shouldn’t be chosen on a whim as you want your walk-in shower to enhance your room and the rest of the features in it.
Walk-in shower rooms are one of the areas we specialise in here at BASI Bathrooms. Whether you’re planning to create one from scratch or do away with your bath and put a shower enclosure in its place, we’ve got plenty of ideas for how you can go about it. Here are some our walk-in shower ideas to help get you started:
IDEA 1: Keep it traditional
Nothing beats a traditional look as you know what to expect and it never goes out of fashion. Traditional walk-in showers are highly practical, look effortlessly attractive and very rarely look out of place. What’s more, they may be traditional, but incorporating a curved design and 100% clear screen, automatically makes them look incredibly contemporary, like the walk-in shower in this image. Best of both worlds!
IDEA 2: Go modern
Some of today’s modern walk-in shower rooms are absolutely breath-taking (if we do say so ourselves!)
From large, tinted glass cubicles and chic, hidden away open-plan enclosures to uber-contemporary structures in black bold metal, the design choices are endless. Modern walk-in shower rooms have never pushed the design boundaries so much. Imagine it and you can most probably make it happen, within reason….
IDEA 3: Indulge yourself
Who says you should only have the bathroom hotel experience on holiday? We certainly don’t.
Think spacious enclosures, glass screens, chrome fittings, open plan design, feature lighting and steely greys offset by pure brilliant white. Luxury really does begin at home, especially with walk-in shower designs like these:
