Bathroom design and installation from afar
Bathroom design and installation – made contactless
Many people have been holding off on home improvements waiting for a safer time to begin. While there are risks associated with having tradespeople in your home, they can be minimised.
Physical distancing is set to continue into the foreseeable future, and we’ve made changes to our bathroom design and installation process to accommodate this. The changes limit face-to-face contact with our team and make it possible for you to arrange your bathroom renovation remotely.
The bathroom renovation process includes:
- Ideas and inspiration
- Bathroom design process
- Installation of bathroom
Gathering your ideas
It’s no longer advisable to survey in person. Instead, you can browse ideas online and we discuss the specifics of your project over the phone. Your new bathroom is an investment and takes some careful consideration to get the design spot on.
We encourage customers to look at the options and explore our inspiration centre to build up a sense of the style of bathroom they desire. To play around with layouts and suites, we have an online planner tool. It’s not a requirement, but many customers find it helpful.
Start thinking about the design
Before your renovation, you want to be sure you’re happy with how hour new bathroom will look. You submit your plan ideas along with some project details, including timescales, styles, and budget. It’s useful to attach a few pictures of your current bathroom too.
Following this, a designer will be in touch for a phone consultation. You’ll chat in more detail about your ideal room and we create your design and a quote. You receive a virtual design plus VR viewer to explore your new bathroom from the comfort of your sofa.
Agreeing the installation
When you’ve agreed your perfect bathroom design, the designer visits your home to survey and take measurements. They show you physical samples, if necessary, and finalise your order and installation date.
During the installation, you will have no more than two fitters in your home at any one time. They will practice physical distancing wherever possible and be equipped with PPE. It’s always been our priority to take complete care in your home and leave it tidy and we’ve added disinfecting measures into this process too.
Safety measures in your home – at a glance
Monitoring the health of staff – our whole team is following public health advice on monitoring health and isolating if any symptoms are displayed by them or anyone they’ve been in contact with.
PPE and distancing – fitters and designers are supplied with PPE and have been trained to keep to the 2-metre distance when interacting with customers and each other, wherever possible.
Cleaning and disinfecting – tools, equipment, vehicles, and working areas are disinfected regularly throughout the day and on leaving your home. You won’t be required to clean up after the fitters at any point.
We hope this information has been clear and provided peace of mind. If you would like to speak to us in person about any of the measures, please don’t hesitate to get in touch on 0800 980 6018 or by emailing bathrooms@basi.co.uk
